Creating a bolted wooden plates style left navigation bar

Create a shape as shown using pen tool.

Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply gradient style & colors as shown.

Duplicate the layer. Remove all the layer styles. Enable subtract from shape area at the top bar. Create some rounded rectangle as shown.

Double click the layer to open layer blending options. Apply settings as shown.

Create a rounded rectangle. Apply same layer style we used for the last shape.. Press Ctrl+T. Right click and select perspective. Adjust nodes to get the shape.

Similarly create more rounded rectangle with different width.

Create a tiny circle. Apply same layer style.

Create another circle smaller then the previous one. Apply same layer style we used for the first layer.

Duplicate both the layers several times. Place them as shown in the image below.

Type ")))))" using a normal font.

Rotate it 90°. and place as shown. Move this layer above all the first layer in layer order in layer palette.

Seelct and merge all the layers. Ctrl+Click the layer to get the selection. Create a new layer. Select any rough brush tool and apply it randomly.

Type link names over the rectangle.
