Designing an attractive postcard for art classes

Start by creating a new file of the postcard size. Create an ellipse using elliptical shape tool.

Create a circle using elliptical shape tool. Make sure you press shift while creating this so that it's a circle rather than an ellipse.

Select custom shape tool (U). From the preset custom shapes menu at the top bar select Grass3 shape.

Using this tool draw a grass shape as shown below.

Select custom shape tool (U). From the preset custom shapes menu at the top bar select Moon shape.

Using this tool draw this shape as shown below.

Create a circle using elliptical shape tool. Make sure you press shift while creating this so that it's a circle rather than an ellipse. Fill it with a darker shade of green.

Press Ctrl+J to duplicate the layer. Fill it with a darker shade of green.

Now follow the screen shots below and keep selecting custom shape tool (U). From preset shape fly out menu at the top, choose the shapes shown and draw accordingly.

You can select the shape, press Ctrl+T and scale/rotate the shape to achieve the result shown below.

Press Ctrl+J to duplicate the layer. Fill it with a darker shade of green.

Now follow the screen shots below and keep selecting custom shape tool (U). From preset shape fly out menu at the top, choose the shapes shown and draw accordingly.
